Vista: The Red-Headed Stepchild of the Digital World?

It seems that a customer revolt has forced Dell to start selling PCs with Windows XP again, reversing their decision to sell PCs fitted with Vista only. Michael Silver, Research VP at Gartner said “This is really odd. On new PCs, consumers usually want what’s latest and greatest.”

There’s been lots of attention paid to user generated advertising. MasterCard has benefited from it, and so has Apple. In some peoples’ opinion, Chevrolet has done less well.

A couple of people have been arrested in Worcestershire for using other people’s wi-fi connections without permission. The MO for the crime is kind of mundane - apparently, the wi-fi thief sits in his or her car outside your house, covers their car window in cardboard (premeditation!) and helps themself to your wanadoo or whatever.
