Canteen is just around the corner from our offices in Liverpool Street so we’ve been seeing a bit of them lately. Apart from really good trad English food at reasonable prices, (on Wednesday I had a really tasty Gammon, potatoes and parsley sauce for £9.50) good service and a great ambience there are three things I love about Canteen;

1. Free wireless from 10AM - midday and from 3PM till 7PM

2. Menus that you can write on, turn over write some more on and then fold up and stick in your pocket. I mean really, who has an envelope in their pockets to scribble on?

3. A built in search engine on the menu; all the meals that can be prepared quickly are also listed in a separate ‘Fast Service’ section.
