Some final thoughts on scheduling

Today marks Tom’s last post on scheduling and digital media; here it is..
We have discussed how scheduling in social media is useful for the individual, and for a brand. We have also discussed the ethics of the brand/social media scheduling overlap, and the limitations that should be emplaced in order to avoid unethical behaviour. From these discussions, we have basically formed a good picture of scheduling in social media.
The question we may now ask is simple: what’s the future for scheduling in social media. Firstly, a killer scheduling app needs to be developed. There is nothing currently available which combines all of the social media scheduling features mentioned earlier in our series. Secondly, scheduling functionality needs to be introduced across all the various social networks. Should these two things happen however, I believe that scheduling in social media will take off at an astronomical speed, and quickly become a key part of every individual’s online orbit. Believe me, it’s all matter of time…
