We practice what we preach… every other day

Ok, ok, ok… i’m sorry - ok? One week on from the inaugural ‘Monday Morning Metric‘ and I go and forget to do one for this past Monday. What is it they say about the best intentions…?

Nevermind; Monday’s missed metric has given way to Tuesday’s afternoon analysis. Under the microscope? Well; us. As a company Ryan*MacMillan (and its Beta iteration RMM), since its birth in May 2006, has generated 470 blog posts. So in 32 months we’ve collectively managed to post 470 times (ok, 471 including this post). This works out out at 14.6875 posts per month. This averages out at roughly a post every other day.

Is this good? Is blogging daily better than blogging (on average) every other day? It is, I venture a matter of quality of quantity and it’d be better if we blogged every other day and it was quality than posting any old fluff on a daily basis.

That said I feel an early new years resolution coming on which involves upping this average to somewhere nearer 20 or even 25. Check back this time next year to see how we do…
