Mark Palmer
Non Executive Chairman
Mark acts as RMM’s Non–Executive Chairman, helping RMM to develop further and advising on the company’s brand and business offering. He believes RMM’s strategic approach is necessary and relevant as social media becomes a force to affect brands positively and negatively.
Mark founded the strategic change consultancy Maverick Planet Ltd in 2005, working with brands like Google, Vodafone and The Economist. Maverick Planet has also worked alongside RMM on some of its client projects.
Mark was formerly Executive Head of Strategy at some of the UK’s most thoughtful and creative advertising and media agencies (BMP, WCRS, OMD). He was frequently nominated in Campaign and Media Week’s top 10 thinkers. Campaign magazine also nominated Mark as the media planner in its fantasy agency of the millennium. Mark is a professionally qualified market researcher, a Myers Briggs Personality Profiling Practitioner, and a lateral and experienced facilitator. He is a regular chair of major industry events.
Mark is a bit of a Francophile, trying to spend at least some of his time in France every year. He is easily distracted by all sport. He still turns out for the Hermits cricket team every summer to bowl his off-cutters. He is an ever-optimistic Charlton Athletic fan.
