You probably use Google. In fact, scrub that : you definitley use Google. Ok, maybe one of you uses Yahoo but come one, seriously, who wants to be friends with that guy? The reason is that Google is great. But sometimes you don’t want to search the whole internet (or at least the bit that Google indexes). Sometimes you want to search within a group of trusted websites and that is where Rollyo has found a nice little niche.
Rollyo is a search engine where you define the websites you want to use in any given search. For example if you only use and trust the sports information on the BBC sport pages, ESPN, The Times and The Guardian, you can search just those 4 websites for the latest news on, say, Real Madrid’s latest rumored signing. That way you can be sure that the results that come back are only from websites you actually want to read, and actually trust the information on.
One can create and save a great many different lists of sites to be used in any given search and you can even import a list of your sites from your online bookmark profile (such as Delicious).
I’m not going to go in to the all the fun little uses you can find for Rollyo, instead I recommend you go and play with it!
