In the annals of the R*M blog you’ll see that Iain once blogged about the advent of MyFootballClub. Its been a happy source to reference when discussing crowdsourcing but its about to make way for the new pretender: A Swarm of Angels.
Just as with MyFootballClub, A Swarm of Angels brings together 1000 people who have all signed up and invested their money in to making a £1million film that will then get distributed online as well as offline). All signed and paid up members get to vote in all decisions from scripting to actors and so on.
Is this the future of film? Well I hardly see Spielberg quaking in his boots. Just another great little internet experiment unlikely to be repeated.
