Background
RMM is a social media company. Since 2006 we have been helping businesses implement social technologies, participate in social media activities, conduct research using social media and define social working practices.
We work with some fun, interesting and challenging organisations including Virgin Media, Samsung Mobile, InterCasino, Capgemini, Red Bull and the British Council. We’re continuing to grow to support recent client wins in 2010, such as Mozilla Firefox and Estee Lauder Companies.
Our head offices are situated on the South Bank in London. We have numerous partners and employees working with us across Europe, the US and Asia.
About the role
We are looking for someone to head up and continue to build our social media relations team. This will involve:
- Developing social media relations plans and activity roadmaps
- Managing a team responsible for building relationships and engaging with communities, online media and key influencers
- Working in partnership with our research and evaluation and community management specialists
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least five years experience working in a media relations or editorial/reporting team – either leading the team, or looking to now make that step up
- Is personally active in, and enjoys, social media.
- Has existing relationships in technology and marketing media
- Is a natural ‘people person’, and active industry networker through your previous agency, journalist or PR role
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit, and would welcome the challenge of helping to build a small, fast-growing agency in a new and evolving market-place
